Founded in 1884 in Switzerland and operating in Brazil for over 70 years, the company pioneered the development of the sector in the country. With solutions covering all stages of the water treatment cycle, Sulzer operates in over 180 countries and, in Brazil, it stands out for its work with state-run water treatment companies and industrial sectors, including biofuels and pulp and paper.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Isadora Cataldo, Marketing Manager at Sulzer, states, \u201cSulzer is increasingly focused on water treatment solutions.\u201d She also adds, \u201cIn a wastewater treatment plant, we cover the entire process, from intake and pumping to wastewater treatment and distribution\u201d. <\/p>\n\n<p>In a sector where products and equipment are naturally high-value, Sulzer differentiates itself through energy efficiency. Its solutions, equipped with cutting-edge technology, are designed to reduce operational and maintenance costs, while improving the reliability and sustainability of the operation. <\/p>\n\n<p>A prime example of this is the partnership between Sulzer and SeMAE in S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 do Rio Preto, a city in the interior of the State of S\u00e3o Paulo . In a treatment plant with over 15 years of operation, serving more than half a million people, maintenance and operational efficiency challenges were addressed with the HST compressor line. With these systems, it was possible to optimize plant operations, improving treatment capacity, reliability, and energy efficiency. As of 2024, the plant has already registered a 20% reduction in energy consumption.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a><strong>2025 Innovations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Sulzer\u2019s acquisition of Nordic Water in 2021 expanded the company\u2019s portfolio, adding advanced water treatment technologies, such as filtration systems designed to remove micropollutants, pharmaceutical residues, and phosphorus. At <strong>IFAT<\/strong> 2025, Sulzer will showcase the full range of equipment and solutions from the Swedish company, including the Meva Spring and NCU, designed to optimize waste management and improve the efficiency of water treatment operations. <\/p>\n\n<p>From its own portfolio, Sulzer highlights the renowned HST line, with its latest release being the HST10 diffuser tube. Designed for aeration in lagoons and smaller wastewater treatment plants, this equipment offers greater operational flexibility without compromising efficiency.
