Celta Brasil brings innovative water treatment solutions
to IFAT 2025
Brazilian company is a pioneer in the use of zeolite minerals, offering greater cost savings and sustainability in water and wastewater treatment.
A pioneer in Brazil in the use of zeolites (a volcanic mineral with numerous applications in water treatment, animal feed, agriculture, etc.), Celta Brasil will focus its efforts at the next IFAT Brasil – International Fair for Water, Sewage, Drainage and Waste Recovery Solutions to showcase its innovative water treatment solutions.
The company’s products, based on the mineral, are capable of providing both cost savings and sustainability, even in the short term, to fully address projects such as water treatment plants and effluent filtration processes in industries, for example. Founded in 1998, Celta Brasil has been in the zeolite market since 2002 and is recognized as one of the most important natural zeolite companies globally.
n addition to providing high-quality products, Celta Brasil’s goal is to “build knowledge,” according to Beatriz Borsatto, Marketing Manager. The company is part of Zeogroup, an alliance among five countries (Brazil, Portugal, Colombia, Peru, Italy) focused on discovering and offering zeolite-based solutions, which has enabled Celta Brasil to serve over 30 countries.
During IFAT Brasil 2025, the company will present Watercel ZN, a natural zeolite-based solution used in industrial filters and gravity filters to reduce turbidity, apparent color, suspended solids, and SDI (Sediment Density Index); and Watercel ZF, developed with chemically modified zeolite, which removes excess iron and manganese in water and wastewater.

“These products replace sand, the conventional filtration element, with much greater efficiency. Since they are used in smaller quantities, they also provide savings in storage, as they take up less space, and reduce backwash water usage by 30% to 60%. The efficiency gains are quite significant,” says Vanessa Maronezi, technical analyst at Celta.
Both products can be used as pre-treatment for reverse osmosis, to prevent membrane clogging and extend their lifespan. Additionally, they can also be used in filtration systems in public Water Treatment Plants, polishing effluents (especially mining effluents rich in manganese), and even well water treatment for a variety of applications, from domestic to industrial uses. Celta Brasil, which also shares its expertise with other companies and institutions in the application and improvement of zeolites, and has developed over 25 products with proprietary technologies, will be present in the Water and Sewage Management sector at IFAT Brasil 2025.
