Pedro Maranhão
President
ABREMA - Associação Brasileira de Resíduos e Meio Ambiente
Pedro Maranhão is an economist, entrepreneur, and infrastructure project manager. In the private sector, he has worked in sanitation, energy, agribusiness, and reforestation, always serving as a manager and business developer. In the public sector, he has held high-level positions such as Acting Minister, Alternate Senator, Executive Secretary, and State Secretary of the Civil House, among others. His most recent public position was as the National Secretary for Sanitation, where he played an active role in the approval and regulation of Brazil’s New Sanitation Legal Framework. He is currently the CEO of the Brazilian Association of Waste and Environment (ABREMA), an organization that aims to sustainably drive the development of the waste sector in Brazil.

Amauri Gavião
Director of Technical Regulation and Oversight for Piped Gas Distribution Services
ARSESP - Agência Reguladora de Serviços Públicos do Estado de São Paulo
Graduated in Law from PUC-SP, he began his career in public administration as Technical Director and Municipal Secretary of Legal Affairs in Jundiaí. He served as Chief of Staff in the State Government in the Secretariats of Housing, Planning and Management, and Education. He also held the position of Executive Secretary in the Government Secretariat of the State of São Paulo, which is responsible for coordinating state projects, works, and services with a major impact on the population, in integration with all secretariats, companies, and foundations.

Graduated in Communication and Journalism and with a postgraduate degree in Sustainable Development Project Management and International Cooperation, she has over 15 years of experience in marketing, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability. She has worked as a consultant for renowned companies and institutions across various sectors, both public and private. At the Veolia Group, she has built a career spanning over eight years, starting at Veolia Colombia and, for the past five years, in Brazil.

Experienced executive with deep expertise in the industrial and energy sectors. As Business Director at Solví since June 2022, he has played a key role in advancing the company's energy initiatives, including biomethane (RNG) projects and Brazil’s broader transition to renewable energy. Previously, he founded SA+Maturana in April 2019, providing strategic consulting services. In his role as COO at Parapanema, he led major restructuring efforts, implemented long-term CAPEX investments, and developed management programs. His career also includes significant positions at ABB, where he managed large-scale projects and led business units toward operational excellence over a 20-year span. His ability to align strategies with market demands has consistently driven success across multiple industries. He holds an MBA in Project Finance with a focus on Projects and Infrastructure from FGV, a specialization in Project Management, and a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Executive Manager of New Business at MDC Energia, responsible for structuring the company’s biomethane projects. MDC was a pioneer in large-scale commercial projects in Brazil. With 10 years of experience in the energy market, he currently works daily across the entire biogas and biomethane value chain.
