Gloria Rose
Brazil Director
Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI)
Gloria Rose was born in Bochum, Germany, in 1978. She holds a degree in Economics from the University of Cologne, where she completed her undergraduate thesis at the Institute of Energy Economics (EWI). Her international journey began with a social year in Maputo, Mozambique, followed by an internship at the Portuguese electricity grid operator REN, in Lisbon, where she deepened her knowledge of the Portuguese language. Since 2006, Gloria has been living in Brazil and is dedicated to analyzing the country’s markets and macroeconomy. In 2017, she took on the role of representing Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) in Brazil. In addition to her professional career, Gloria is the mother of two children, aged 14 and 11.

Dr. Carsten Persner

PhD in Chemistry with a focus on water chemistry. He has been working in the water treatment sector for 20 years, accumulating extensive experience across various companies and industrial and environmental applications.

Dra. Claudia Barmann Bernard (Moderator)
Representative of the State of Bavaria in Brazil

Dr. Claudia Bärmann Bernard earned her law degree from the University of Bayreuth and completed her PhD at the Technical University of Dresden in Germany. She served as a judge in Germany and has over 20 years of experience in the legal field. She is a member of both the Brazilian and German Bar Associations. She serves as Vice President of the Mediation and Arbitration Chamber of Eurocâmaras. Since 2011, she has held the position of Legal Director at the German-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in São Paulo, and since 2017, she has also been the Representative of the State of Bavaria in Brazil.

Loana von Gaevernitz Lima
Deputy Executive Director / Representative of the State of Baden-Württemberg in Brazil
AHK Brasil
Loana holds a degree in International Relations and a Master’s in Economics from FGV-EPGE. She has extensive experience in developing projects and sectoral studies for Brazil–Germany bilateral cooperation in the infrastructure sector, with a special focus on energy transition areas, including renewable hydrogen, decarbonization, and the environment. Currently, as Deputy Executive Director at the German-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, she works to foster cooperation and engagement with major national and European players, as well as with German institutions and related federal ministries.
