Julio Issao Kuwajima

Julio Issao Kuwajima, an environmental engineer holding a PhD from the University of São Paulo (USP), possesses over a decade of professional experience in the water and sanitation services, hydropower, and water resources sectors. At Bentley, he is dedicated to assisting and empowering utilities and professionals in the adoption of digital solutions for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. Julio combines his technical proficiency and strategic insight to effectively address the challenges of sustainability and resilience within the water infrastructure sector.

Giuliano Vito Dragone
Director of New Business, Sustainability, and Institutional Relations

Professional with 28 years of experience in the national and international sanitation sector, working in concessions and public-private partnerships (PPPs) for water and wastewater services. His expertise spans business development and structuring, M&A, market analysis, as well as asset O&M. He has been directly involved in the acquisition and operational transition of over 30 contracts. He has also worked in the technical and operational management of public water and wastewater utilities. He leads and develops sustainable strategies aimed at driving business practices that ensure environmental, social, and economic sustainability. In parallel, he serves as a board member of AbconSindcon (National Association and Union of Private Water and Wastewater Concessionaires). He holds a degree in Chemical Production Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos, with a specialization in basic sanitation processes (water and wastewater) from the Office International de l’Eau (France), and a professional certification in PPPs and concessions from APMG International (CP3P).

Fredrick Royan is the Global Practice Area Leader of the Sustainability and Circular Economy practice at Frost & Sullivan. He is the current Smart Water Network (SWAN) Council Chair and has been analysing the global water market for over 20 years. Fredrick led the launch of the Smart Water Program in 2010 and has since focused on shaping the Global Water Research Program around digital transformation and together with his team of analysts has published authoritative reports on Smart Water Grid and related segments. He has a Masters in Environmental Protection and Management from the University of Edinburgh secured as a Centenary Chevening Scholar and has also been conferred the Frost & Sullivan Fellowship.
