From origin to final destination: meuResíduo presents the agile way to manage solid waste at IFAT 2025

The software simplifies the lives of waste-generating companies, as well as transporters and receivers who need their traceability verified.

Waste management and treatment in Brazil have gained significant importance, especially after the regulation of the National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS), which establishes guidelines for the environmentally sound management of these wastes. Generally, there are several laws and regulations aimed at controlling the handling of waste, from collection to final disposal, in order to reduce environmental impacts and promote recycling and reuse of materials.

With more and more companies encouraged to adopt sustainable waste management practices as part of their social responsibility, meuResíduo enters this context with software that offers a significant differentiator. It is one of the few solutions on the market that interconnectedly serves the three links in the chain: the company or organization generating the waste, the transporter, and the receiver, who handles the treatment in accordance with environmentally correct requirements.

“We serve any company or organization, regardless of size, that generates waste and needs to handle the removal of these materials through the issuance of the MTR (Waste Transport Manifest), which is the waste invoice that provides traceability so a transporter can take it to a final destination for treatment,” explains Ismael Fernando Christmann, CMO of meuResíduo.

The company was founded in 2015 but only began operating in 2018 after a series of software enhancements, including mentorship from experts in Silicon Valley, USA. Today, the startup operates in Santa Cruz do Sul (RS) and has a portfolio of around 4,000 clients, almost all of Brazil’s states and abroad, including Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, and Angola.

meuResíduo connects companies with government agencies, in addition to offering other tools on its platform, such as environmental license controls, documents, effluent monitoring, conditions, and more. “We can say that we are the best value ticket on the market because we offer the best value-added service in the subscription fee, as our portfolio includes large corporations with multiple units that generate waste. To give you an idea, we have transporters with around 8,000 clients who require document issuance for each of them,” summarizes Christmann.

Throughout its journey, meuResíduo has achieved impressive results: 23 million tons of waste managed, 4 million collections completed, 1 million MTRs issued, and 170,000 CNPJs impacted.
As an exhibitor at IFAT Brasil 2025 – International Fair for Water, Sewage, Drainage, and Waste Recovery Solutions, the company will showcase further improvements to its software, incorporating artificial intelligence to manage the increasingly vast amounts of data provided by its clients.
