Hidrogeron Showcases Innovations in Chlorination Systems at IFAT 2025

GRUPO HIDROGERON

Brazilian company and leader in high-performance chlorination solutions highlights new technologies for water and wastewater treatment.

Founded in 1996, Hidrogeron has built a legacy of innovation and commitment to sanitation. Over the years, the company has developed exclusive solutions, such as its on-site chlorine generator—a technology that eliminates the need to transport highly toxic compounds, providing greater safety and sustainability to the water disinfection process.

Currently, Hidrogeron’s systems supply over 35 million people, serving both large urban centers and small communities. With more than 12,000 installations operating across Brazil, the company is recognized for ensuring continuous and automatic disinfection, maintaining high water quality standards 24/7.

Hidrogeron is also behind groundbreaking projects, including the installation of chlorination systems on offshore oil platforms and the use of seawater for chlorination in Fernando de Noronha. Through the electrolysis of water and table salt, its technology generates chlorine directly at the point of use, ensuring efficiency and reducing operational costs.

“Beyond traditional applications, Hidrogeron continues to expand its technological boundaries, developing solutions for industrial and community sectors. By combining sustainability and safety, the company reinforces its position as a leader in water treatment, offering alternatives tailored to various contexts and needs, always with a commitment to providing quality potable water for all,” says Peterson Devechi, Hidrogeron’s Marketing Manager.

At the upcoming edition of IFAT – International Fair for Water, Sewage, Drainage and Waste Recovery Solutions, Hidrogeron will present some of its most advanced solutions, including the HG24 Plus chlorine generator, designed for high water volumes such as Olympic-sized pools and large sanitation systems. The company will also showcase its automated dosing pumps, which complement treatment systems with maximum precision and reliability.

“In 2024, we decided to expand our presence at national events, promoting our brand and showcasing why our products are market leaders. We aim to reach companies that have yet to adopt brine electrolysis chlorine generation technology, as well as expand into international markets, which will be a major focus for Hidrogeron in the coming years,” states Rordão Macedo Junior, Commercial and Marketing Director at Hidrogeron.

Devechi supports Junior’s statement, emphasizing that, “At IFAT 2025, visitors will have the chance to experience firsthand the innovations that make Hidrogeron a leader in high-performance chlorination, positively impacting millions of lives in Brazil and worldwide.”
Hidrogeron, a leader in high-performance chlorination solutions, dominates its market segment. There is no other company in the world with as many installations of brine electrolysis-based chlorine generation systems—over 12,000 chlorination systems deployed across Brazil. Hidrogeron’s technology is present in more than 500 cities across all Brazilian states.
